There have been many firsts in AC’s history including its group of first content producers.   Some of those first content producers have moved on to other ventures but a handful of the original CPs still remain. These are the CPs that have found success as a web writer and many of them are willing to share what they know with new CPs. Here’s a list of successful veteran CPs you might want to emulate. You could do worse than aspire to be like them.

Michelle L. Devon aka Michy

Tsu Dho Nimh

The Barefoot

Capt. Dallas

Pam Gaulin

Momie Tullotes

Carol Bengle Gilbert

Randy Inman

Donna Porter

SkyDanzer

Lee Andrew Henderson

Amy Brantley

Paula Neal Mooney

These are all people that have weathered the storm that is sometimes called AC. They are still striving, still succeeding and still writing.

Such a venerable list! We’re glad that you’re all around and the kudos are well-deserved. Nice post, Kelly. This is absolutely a group for other CPs to look up to.

I almost cried when I saw this. AC gave me my start as a freelance writer and I have written for other companies since then. That being said though, AC means the world to me. I plan to write for them as long as they’ll still accept my content. And I’m always willing to help CPs who ask for advice. Thank you for mentioning me on this list. This means more than you’ll ever know.

  3. Pam Says:

Thanks for the mention, Kelly. There are some CPs that have not been around as long as that list, but are strong in news and hot topics. They have journalistic backgrounds and it shows. Jcorn and Sylvia Cochran.

This just goes to show that even though AC has it’s own monkey wrenches, we still are one big connected group!

That is a good list, Kelly. Sometimes, I struggle to get content ideas or content typed and when I see the profiles of CP’s such as those on that list who have 6 million page views, I go back to writing the next article and persevering. I found AC last year on a job search of all the weirdest places and quickly discovered that it was more of an opportunity/resource as opposed to being just a job. I have used Associated Content for a year now as a resource; whenever I need to look something up I AC it and the topic is usually covered from several different angles by ten or more CP’s. I joined AC as a CP in May of this year and now am trying to establish myself as a writer here. I agree that this is a great point; to focus on successful CP’s because these CP’s examplify what the potential of AC is.

Hey, thanks for including me here! I feel like I’ve been with AC forever!

Great blog you’ve got going here too!

    Love and stuff,
    Michy

I wouldn’t have been nearly as successful in this past year on AC without many of those on the list. They are always willing to help out new CP’s and just lead by example. I’m proud to be a part of AC with them!
